We do not store plain-text passwords. We store an irreversibly transformed version of your password (a hash) for authentication purposes. Persistent login is achieved through cookies that are valid for one login. Cookie login will be disabled temporarily if an expired cookie is presented for authentication. Treat cookies like passwords.
